There is only one Brother MFC-4800 toner cartridge inside this machine, and it contains black printer toner.  Color printing is not an option, which should only be a problem for homes or offices with graphic or photo printing needs.  The single toner cartridge can produce as many as 2,200 pages before a replacement will be needed.  When that day comes, new cartridges are available from the manufacturer or from third party vendors online.  Remanufactured MFC-4800 toner is also available for a lower price but the same high quality.

All-in-one laser machines are easy to find, but it is not always easy to find the right one.  The Brother MFC-4800 is a basic model with minimal fancy features, but it has many functions as can fit into one device.  In addition to faxing, scanning, printing and copying, PC faxing is also supported.  This allows users to send and receive faxes on the computer, which will free up the phone line and potentially save money on long distance bills.  All around, the MFC-4800 is a good addition to any small office.
